Paint and pigment
Increasing demands for environmently friendly products and low production costs keep Dyrup A/S (PPG industries) at the edge in the development of new paint technologies. Among other things they seek to keep down the consumption of the pigment titanium oxide. Well dispersed pigments give the best opacity of the paint.
The NXUS-project gives Dyrup the possibility to use time-resolved ultra-small-angle scattering to monitor how well the pigments are separated during the drying phase and to find the additives that optimises this.
